Tout sur le CBD

The History of CDB

The origins of cannabidiol (CBD) date back to the Neolithic, around 8000 BC. Hemp became one of the first plants to be grown by men for its medicinal properties. The plant was also grown for its high fat seeds. As for its resin, it was already used for its medicinal virtues. We can trace it back to Ancient Egypt, around 3150 BC. Then called “hempseed”, it was known for its anti-inflammatory properties. Thus, Cannabidiol sailed through civilizations as a botanical remedy. In 1940, as Adams was conducting a scientific research on CBD, he succeeded to isolate it from a hemp ethanol extract. The structure and stereochemistry known today were established in 1963 by Mechoulam and Shvo. Modern CBD was born.

What is CBD?

The human body has an endocannabinoid system divided into two receptors, termed CB1 (present in the nervous system) and CB2 (present in our immune system). Research has shown that cannabinoid (CBD) activates these receptors and acts on bouts of inflammations, stress, emotional state, on our epidermis, as well as on the regulation of our metabolism. However, CBD must be distinguished from THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), which is mood-enhancing because of its psychoactive effects. Up until now, nothing magical or miraculous about it, only the scientific analysis that the CBD molecule holds properties to connect to our human body whilst being devoid of any psychoactive substance (THC).

The Virtues of CBD for Human Being

Its soothing virtues are now widely recognized. CBD oil, capsule or cream is made for everyday use to prevent and/or reduce inflammation, nausea and headaches, stress and anxiety, and offer cosmetic benefits worthy of the highest technologies in the field. Ongoing studies highlighted its antalgic properties to alleviate the symptoms of these illnesses. If its positive properties for mankind and the animal kingdom are already recognized, studies on its potential active ingredients are only just starting, and the future holds some amazing surprises for us.

Full Spectrum CBD and Isolate CBD, what’s the difference ?

Full spectrum means whole-plant extraction. Here, every part of the hemp is used: flower, leaves, seeds and stems.

You can now clearly understand that we extract every cannabinoid such as CBD, CBN, CBG, THC and so many more (as hemp contains no fewer than 140 active molecules).

This process helps you benefit from all the active ingredients of the plant over a long period of time with, of course, a near non-existent THC content as the plant contains less than 0.2% THC.

Isolate, as its name suggests, is an isolation process. In other words, pure CBD extraction. The amount of CBD is therefore very high, 90%. This process is similar to the conventional process in pharmaceuticals. Isolate helps optimize CBD active ingredients.

CBDologique has thoroughly researched these two processes for you.

Depending on the desired benefit, we have found the formula that is best suited to your needs, full spectrum or isolate. We give you the luxury of a tailored choice.
